Your Anaheim Guide: Food, Getting Around, and a Little Disney Magic
Everything outside the convention center walls — where to eat within walking distance of the Hilton, how to get in from the airport, what’s worth doing on a break, and how to squeeze in some Disney time before or after Summit.
Getting There
Three airports serve the area. Which one makes sense depends more on flight availability and price than distance — none of them are dramatically closer once you factor in traffic.
| Airport | Distance | Drive Time | Typical Rideshare |
|---|---|---|---|
| John Wayne (SNA) | ~13 mi | 20–30 min | $35–55 |
| Ontario Intl (ONT) | ~30–34 mi | 35–40 min | $60–90 (est.) |
| Los Angeles Intl (LAX) | ~34–35 mi | 40–60+ min (traffic-dependent) | $120–160 |
John Wayne is the closest and least chaotic of the three, so it’s worth checking there first even if the fare is a little higher. Public transit from any of the three airports involves multiple transfers and 1–3 hours, so it’s really only worth it if you have zero luggage and zero schedule pressure. Most attendees will do best with rideshare, a pre-booked shuttle, or a rental car.
Getting Around Once You’re Here
The Hilton Anaheim sits directly across from the Anaheim Convention Center, so most of what you need during Summit itself is a short walk. Here’s how to handle everything else.
Anaheim Resort Transit (ART)
A shuttle system connecting the hotels, convention center, Disneyland, and Anaheim GardenWalk. Stops run near the Hilton, and buses come roughly every 15–20 minutes. A day pass runs about $4–6 per person — worth it if you’re making more than one round trip to the parks or don’t want to walk after a long day.
Walking
The convention center, Hilton, and Anaheim GardenWalk are all within a 5–15 minute walk of each other. Disneyland’s front gate is about a mile from the Hilton — walkable, but most people don’t want to do it twice in one day after being on their feet all day at Summit.
Walkable Restaurants
Distances below are approximate from the Hilton Anaheim / Convention Center area.
Morton’s The Steakhouse
0.2 mi
Upscale steakhouse, good for a client dinner. Business casual, reservations recommended.
Puesto Anaheim
~5 min walk
Upscale Mexican, great tacos and margaritas. Popular — book ahead or expect a wait after 5:30 PM.
nFuse Restaurant & Bar
Inside the Marriott, adjacent
Casual, relaxed, open early to late. A solid pick if you don’t want to walk far at all. Not on OpenTable — walk-in or call ahead.
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse
Across from ACC
Steaks and wine, right on Katella Ave facing the convention center.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
~15 min walk
At Anaheim GardenWalk. Casual seafood, family-friendly, Forrest Gump themed.
The Cheesecake Factory
~15 min walk
Also at GardenWalk. Reliable, big menu, good if your group can’t agree on one cuisine. Not on OpenTable — walk-ins are common, or reserve through their own app if you’re a Rewards member.
RAKKAN Ramen
~15 min walk
GardenWalk. Rich, well-balanced ramen — a nice change of pace from steakhouse dinners. Not on OpenTable — walk-in only at this location.
RISE Rooftop Lounge
~12 min walk
Rooftop bar with a view toward Disneyland — a good pick for an evening drink after sessions wrap. Reservations required.
Food Delivery
If you’d rather not leave your room between sessions, all the major delivery apps operate throughout Anaheim:
Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub all cover the convention center / resort district reliably. Delivery to hotel lobbies is standard — just note your hotel and room number at checkout, and expect a short walk down to the lobby if the driver can’t access guest floors directly.
Things to Do Nearby
If you’ve got a break between sessions or an evening free, here’s what’s close by.
Anaheim GardenWalk
~15 min walk
Outdoor shopping and dining complex right next to the convention center — restaurants, a few shops, and a lively evening atmosphere once the trees light up.
Anaheim Packing District
~10 min drive / rideshare
A historic food hall with a wide mix of vendors, communal seating, and live music some nights. Worth the short ride if you have a free evening.
Downtown Disney District
~15–20 min walk
Shops and restaurants outside the park gates — no ticket required. A good way to get a little Disney atmosphere without committing to a full park day.
A Little Disney Magic
Disneyland’s front gate is about a mile from the Hilton — walkable, or a quick hop on the ART shuttle if you’d rather save your feet.
